Moving and waiting N-565?

So you applied for a replacement naturalization document (Form N-565) and now you're moving? Hold on! USCIS needs your new address to send you important updates about your application. Here's what to do to avoid any delays:

Step 1: Update Your Address ASAP

The minute you know your new address, let USCIS know. There are two ways to do this:

  • Online: Head to the USCIS website and update your address electronically (if your application is still pending online).

  • By Mail: Fill out Form AR-11 (Alien's Change of Address Card) and mail it in.

Step 2: Mention Your Pending Application

When updating your address, be sure to mention your N-565 application. This way, USCIS can update your application file with your new address and keep things moving smoothly.

Step 3: Stay Alert for Updates

USCIS will send any news about your application to the address you provide. Keep an eye on your mailbox for letters and make sure to follow any instructions they send you.

Step 4: Track Your Application Online

Wondering what's happening with your application? You can check its status online using your receipt number on the USCIS website. USCIS might also send updates about your application status to your new address.

Step 5: Need More Help? Contact USCIS

If you're worried about your address change or need to update it again after submitting the AR-11 form, contact USCIS directly. Have your receipt number and other application details handy when you call.

By keeping your address updated and making sure USCIS knows about your pending application, you can avoid any delays and ensure you get all the important information about your new citizenship documents. Still have questions? Consider talking to an immigration attorney or contacting USCIS for more guidance. They're there to help!
