To become a U.S. citizen, you must meet the following eligibility requirements:

If you meet the eligibility requirements, you can apply for U.S. citizenship by filing Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). After submitting your application, you will be required to attend a biometrics appointment, where your fingerprints and photo will be taken. You will then be scheduled for an interview with a USCIS officer to review your application, test your knowledge of English and U.S. civics, and verify your qualifications for naturalization.
