✅ Who Can Qualify?
1. Your income is below 150% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines

Example: If you have a household of 4 people and earn less than $46,800 per year, you may qualify.
2. You Receive Public Benefits (Means-Tested)
You can also qualify if you currently receive government assistance such as:
- Food Stamps (SNAP / EBT)
- Medicaid
- Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
- State or county general assistance
- FAFSA (student financial aid)
Simply provide a current approval letter showing your benefits.
3. You’re Experiencing Financial Hardship
If you’ve been affected by:
- Job loss
- Medical bills
- Emergency expenses
- COVID-19 impacts
You may still qualify based on your financial situation. We can help explain it to USCIS as part of your application.
4. You Are Retired
USCIS will evaluate your eligibility based on your current retirement income. A tax return or benefit statement may be required.

To apply for the USCIS Fee Waiver, please send one of the following:
- A copy of your 2024 1040 Tax Return
- A letter from a government agency showing you receive public benefits
- Proof of retirement or fixed income
- Or a written explanation of your current financial hardship
