Renewing Your Green Card (Special Programs)
Got a green card through the Diversity Visa Lottery or another special program? Here's how to renew it:
1. Check Eligibility:
Green cards from special programs usually expire after 10 years.
Start the renewal process well before the expiration date.
2. Complete Form I-90:
Download and fill out Form I-90 (Application to Replace Permanent Resident Card).
Provide accurate and up-to-date information.
3. Gather Supporting Documents:
Copy of your current green card
Proof of immigration status
Any other documents listed in the form's instructions
4. Submit the Application:
Mail the completed Form I-90, supporting documents, and filing fee to the designated USCIS Lockbox facility (check USCIS website for address and fee).
5. Biometrics Appointment:
