Fiancé Visa I-129F

Love knows no borders!

Bring your Fiancé to the United States

If you are a U.S. citizen who wants to bring your foreign fiancé(e) to the United States to get married, you will need to complete some paperwork.

To obtain a K-1 fiancé(e) visa, you and your fiancé(e) must intend to marry within 90 days of their entry into the U.S. as a K-1 nonimmigrant. The marriage must be valid, meaning both parties have a genuine intent to establish a life together, not just to obtain immigration benefits.

IMPORTANT:

You MUST provide evidence of your relationship spanning at least two years.

You MUST have met your fiancé(e) in person.

Who is Eligible for a K-1 Visa?

You may qualify for a K-1 Visa if:

  • You are a U.S. citizen.

  • You and your fiancé(e) intend to marry within 90 days of their arrival in the U.S.

  • You have met your fiancé(e) in person at least once in the past two years (with some exceptions).

  • You both are legally free to marry.

Let’s help you start off right, even before you visit your fiancé overseas!
