Grant Details

  • Funding: Up to $10 million will be awarded to support citizenship preparation programs.

  • Number of Awards: USCIS expects to award grants to up to 40 organizations.

  • Grant Amount: Each organization may receive up to $300,000 for a two-year period.

  • Eligible Organizations: Public or non-profit organizations that provide both citizenship instruction and naturalization application services to lawful permanent residents can apply.

Program Impact

Since its inception in 2009, the Citizenship and Integration Grant Program has provided $155 million in funding through over 644 grants. These grants have empowered immigrant-serving organizations to assist more than 300,000 immigrants across 41 states and D.C. on their path to becoming U.S. citizens.

Moving Forward

With continued Congressional support, USCIS is committed to making this funding opportunity available to communities nationwide. Award recipients for the 2024 grant cycle are expected to be announced in September 2024.
