Getting an Emergency Permanent Resident Card- What is the ADIT Stamp?
Don’t know what an ADIT Stamp is? You’re not alone. Few individuals know what this document is used for or how to get one. The ADIT Stamp is a temporary and provisional emergency document. This document is issued by USCIS.
In order to get one an individual will need to schedule an appointment at a local USCIS office. Reasons why someone may need this document include the loss of their permanent resident card or their permanent resident card has become expired. USCIS offers 12 month extension letters but, these letters can not always be used in place of a permanent resident card. In fact, something more substantial for work and travel is likely required. This is where the ADIT Stamp comes in!
The ADIT stamp is issued as a temporary I-551 Permanent Resident Card. It will include an individual’s fingerprint, information, photo, and an expiration date.
The ADIT Stamp is suitable to allow individuals to travel, work, and get government documents such as social security, a drivers license, or even social services. It is proof instead of the actual card or at least until the card comes in the mail.
Our office works on the I-90 Permanent Resident Card replacement and also helps customers with their ADIT stamp appointments.
If you need an emergency permanent resident card within a week we can help! We will help you by securing an ADIT appointment with USCIS or the Department of Homeland Security.
